In 2012, the Crawley, Reigate and District branch of Cats Protection was able to help over 500 cats and kittens through the donations raised by our volunteers at 110 events.   However in these difficult times, more cats and kittens are unfortunately in need of our support and care.  To enable the branch to offer all the assistance necessary, we have launched three appeals – Shop, Cat Havens and Van Appeals. Thanks to all the wonderful support from the local community your local Cats Protection Shop was opened at 9 Broad Walk, Crawley and we were able to  purchased a good used van in November 2013. Funds raised from the shop will support more needy cats and kittens locally.

Our Cat Havens and Van Appeals are still running.

Cat Havens Appeal: To raise £12,000 to build new cat havens, providing the branch with much needed additional cat foster spaces.  The appeal will enable the branch to offer cats with a safe and warm environment as well as providing the necessary health care each cat requires.

* A ‘cat haven’ is defined as a building serving as a temporary refuge or residence for homeless and abandoned cats/kittens. The funds raised for the ‘cat havens’ (i.e. individual pens, will either be in one location or many different locations). If insufficient funds are raised to fulfill the main purpose, or if surplus funds are raised, these funds will be allocated directly  on veterinary care for cats and kittens, cat/kitten food, litter and fostering equipment.
